As many of you know, Jamaica has recently been hit by a devastating hurricane — leaving homes damaged, communities flooded, and thousands without access to clean water, electricity, or basic supplies. It’s an island we’ve fallen in love with over the years, not only for its golden beaches and reggae rhythms, but for the warmth of its people — and now, they need our help more than ever.

The official appeal from Jamaica’s Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) has listed a number of urgent needs. These include:

🪫 Batteries (AA, AAA, C & D)
🛏️ Sleeping mats, pillows, mattresses & tarpaulins
💡 Solar lanterns & flashlights
💧 Buckets with lids & water purification kits
🧼 Family hygiene kits, disinfectant & bleach
🔌 Portable generators (3–7.5 kW)
🧰 Chainsaws, gloves, shovels, spades & wheelbarrows
🩹 First aid kits, safety goggles, helmets & masks
📻 Battery-powered radios & communication tools
🐓 Seeds, feed & farm tools for rural families

Every item helps, and even the smallest contribution can make a huge difference to a family trying to rebuild their lives.

You can donate directly via the official government site: supportjamaica.gov.jm/needs. Your donation goes straight to verified relief efforts on the ground — providing essentials like shelter, water, and food to those most affected.
